Uniaversity of Oregon Tuition, Admission Requirements And Acceptance Rate

In honour of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Scholarship America in partnership with Wells Fargo and Co., is calling on students to apply for the 2022-23 Wells Fargo scholarship for people with disabilities.

Wells Fargo in 2016, gave $1 million to Scholarship America, the creator and organizer of the biggest educational support programs in the United States.

The goal was to establish and operate the initiative, which seeks to help people with disabilities acquire the education or training they require to pursue their professional goals.

Per the United States Department of Labour, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is double that of people without, which is an absolute shame.

People with higher levels of education are more likely to be gainfully employed.

About Scholarship America

The founder, Dr. Irving Fradkin, was an optometrist in Fall River, Massachusetts.

He had a simple but important notion in 1958:

If everyone in his community paid $1 to a scholarship fund, it would be enough to let every kid in the community attend college.

It succeeded, and they are today, the biggest nonprofit, private scholarship organization in the United States of America.

Scholarship America works directly with students, guardians, universities, employers, and communities to assist students in achieving their educational goals.

Scholarship America has given $4.9 billion to 2.9 million students since its inception in 1958 and counting.

Their vision has always been to build a society where equality is paramount.

They also want to ensure that respect and inclusiveness are ingrained in our culture, and every student has access to chances to learn, grow, achieve, and flourish.

“We are proud to work with Wells Fargo on its People with Disabilities Scholarship Program.

We believe in the power of scholarships. They bridge gaps and give students the opportunity to achieve their dreams for higher education. Wells Fargo is helping students with disabilities obtain the education needed to reach their career goals and contribute their skills and talents to our country’s economic success.”
